Bremen's Senator for Science visits BIPS

Kathrin Moosdorf, Senator for the Environment, Climate and Science in Bremen, visited BIPS today. Together with some of her staff, she learned about the institute's current projects and key areas of focus. During the lively exchange, the Senator was able to gain a good impression of current research activities.

Kathrin Moosdorf, born in Aachen in 1981, studied political science there and graduated in 2006. Her professional career includes several leading positions in the social and environmental policy sector. From 2006 to 2012, she was Federal Chairwoman of the Girl Scout Association St. Georg, followed by a year as Federal Managing Director of the Nature Conservation Youth at NABU. From 2015 to 2023, she was Managing Director of the Bremen state association of the German Child Protection Association. Since July 2023, Moosdorf has been Senator for the Environment, Climate and Science in Bremen, where she has lived with her family since 2015.
