Meeting of the NAKO study center management at BIPS in Bremen

On April 23 and 24, 2023, a meeting of the NAKO study center management took place at the Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology - BIPS in Bremen. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss ongoing research work and plan future activities within the framework of the NAKO Health Study.

The NAKO Health Study, one of the largest population-based long-term studies in Germany, aims to gain a better understanding of the development of chronic diseases. By examining factors such as lifestyle, environment and genetics in two hundred thousand participants, the NAKO provides valuable insights into the prevention and treatment of common diseases.

The meeting in Bremen focused on topics such as data quality, the challenges of data collection and the presentation of new technological tools.

BIPS is pleased to have hosted this important meeting and emphasizes the importance of cooperation between the various study centers.
