Dissemination and sustainable implementation of (online-) interventions for the prevention of harmful substance use among university students

In the past 2½ years, the Federal Ministry of Health funded the development, implementation, and scientific evaluation of three different web-based interventions for the prevention of harmful substance use in university students. The aim of the current project is to develop a strategy for disseminating these interventions which were developed by the University of Applied Sciences Esslingen, the BIPS in Bremen, and the Delphi Society for Research, Consulting, and Project Development in Berlin. A toolbox summarizing the three interventions will be created. An additional aim is the development of a stakeholder network at German universities to facilitate the implementation of such interventions using a participatory approach. Furthermore, a process evaluation will be conducted to examine the implementation and dissemination of the toolbox and to evaluate effects of participation in interventions included in the toolbox on substance use.
