Therapy of patients with colorectal, breast and prostate cancer
Description
In Germany, nearly 200,000 people develop colorectal, breast, or prostate cancer every year. In this study, we will establish methods to use data of the German Pharmacological Research Database (GePaRD) for cancer-related research. The aim is to characterize cancer patients regarding the stage of the incident cancer and the medical treatment during different phases of the disease (initial phase and end-of-life phase). Comparative analyses for several calendar years will be conducted, e.g. regarding the distribution of therapies between the inpatient and the outpatient sector.
