Therapy of patients with colorectal, breast and prostate cancer
- In Germany, nearly 200,000 people develop colorectal, breast, or prostate cancer every year. In this study, we will establish methods to use data of the German Pharmacological Research Database (GePaRD) for cancer-related research. The aim is to characterize cancer patients regarding the stage of the incident cancer and the medical treatment during different phases of the disease (initial phase and end-of-life phase). Comparative analyses for several calendar years will be conducted, e.g. regarding the distribution of therapies between the inpatient and the outpatient sector.
