Description
- Dementias, including Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, and other forms of dementia (oD) rank highest among neurodegenerative diseases in the elderly. In contrast to the epidemiology of dementia, little is known about the stability of diagnoses over time as well as the impact of different case definitions on the epidemiological measures. This study investigates the usability of different dementia algorithms for health claims data.
