Dr. Ernestine Tecklenburg
Dr. M. Ernestine Tecklenburg is a research assistant at the Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology BIPS in the GENAU and GEG projects and research assistant and lecturer in the Faculty of Health at HAW Hamburg. From April 2024 to August 2025, she was a substitute professor in the Department of Nutritional Science and Home Economics at HAW Hamburg, and from April 2018 to March 2024, she was head of the Community Catering and Quality Assurance Division at the German Nutrition Society (DGE). She earned her doctorate at Leuphana University Lüneburg at the interface of vocational education and training (2017).
Her research focuses on quality standards for healthy and sustainable communal catering, the cost structures of nursery and school catering, and the promotion of fair food environments and their impact.
