Event details:
Title: Developing new ways to increase children’s physical activity at school: The design and early findings from the Passport study
Speaker: Professor Russ Jago, University of Bristol
In this talk, Russ Jago will provide an overview of the Passport study, which is designing a new intervention to increase the physical activity of primary age school children. The Passport intervention will then be evaluated via a stepped-wedge design. In the talk, Russ Jago will outline why he thinks current intervention approaches have not been as successful as planned and the rationale for developing a context specific portfolio intervention. He will also outline the work to date designing the intervention and the methodological considerations in designing stepped-wedge trials for public health interventions in schools.
