Transfer path 6: Infrastructure services

Transfer-oriented infrastructure services include the provision, sale, and use of equipment, laboratories, special libraries and archives, collections, databases and data for users outside the scientific community. According to the Leibniz Association “it is crucial that infrastructure services have a specific unique selling point.” This is true for the Bremen Cancer Registry that is located at the BIPS premises. Since 1998, all new cancer cases in Bremen are registered by the Bremen Cancer Registry to describe incidences and provide a basis for cancer research. The close link to the cancer research at BIPS is a guarantor for the high quality of our registry data. Services developed in the framework of NFDI4Health and our Cross-departmental Center for Research Data Infrastructure and Data Science in Epidemiology will take on a growing role for the provision of health research data infrastructures. The various services and data sets will support our open science strategy in epidemiological research.
