Presentation on health and environmental factors

Dr. Rajini Nagrani, head of the Molecular Epidemiology Unit, presents her work on environmental factors and cardiovascular risks in children. In her lecture “Air pollution, built environment (green spaces) and its association with CVD markers in children”, she explains how air pollution and urban environmental factors such as green spaces can influence the cardiovascular health of children. Using the latest statistical methods, important insights into prevention and health promotion are gained.

Significance of the workshop

The workshop provides a platform for discussing the complex interactions between environmental change, lifestyle and health. The aim is to close scientific knowledge gaps and develop strategies for promoting health through global dialog.
