Data Train 2025: Continuing Education Programme in Data Competence
Researchers in the fields of biomedicine and health must manage and analyse research data effectively, and make informed decisions based on that data. NFDI4Health offers a modular training programme based on the FAIR principles, educating researchers in research data management and data science. The Data Train programme strengthens data competence and promotes interdisciplinary exchange across institutions. The free introductory course provides both foundational and advanced knowledge in data competence, research data management, and data science. All participants will receive a certificate of participation upon completion of the respective track. Iris Pigeot and Dennis-Kenji Kipker from NFDI4Health will serve as instructors for the programme.
The U Bremen Research Alliance, NFDI4Health, and other NFDI consortia developed the Data Train concept in 2021. Since 2023, the programme has been part of Data Nord, the regional data competence centre for the Bremen area. The Starter Track programme will launch on 15 January 2025 with a ceremonial kick-off event.
