Whichsamples and dataareavailable?

Currently the BIPS BioBank hosts more than 800,000 biological samples from more than 35,000 study participants, such as tumor tissue, blood, urine, saliva, stool samples and nasal swabs and their derivates (e.g. DNA), from mostly prospective cohort studies and case-control studies. Further information on the sample collections of the BIPS BioBank can also be found in the German Biobank Directory.

Howcan I usesamples and dataformy own research?

With a cooperation agreement. Send a short project outline either to the project coordinator or to the coordinator of the BIPS BioBank who will gladly arrange the respective contact.

The German Biobank Directory, provided by the German Biobank Node (GBN), is a central list of German biobanks with aggregated informations about their sample collections.
